Young performers are invited to audition for our annual pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk, which will be performed at Aberystwyth Arts Centre in January 2027.

We are seeking three groups of children to take part in the production.

Audition details

Date: Sunday 27 September 2026

Time: 10.00am–1.00pm

Venue: Medrus

Age requirements

Children must:

Be at least seven years old by 1 January 2027

Be no older than school Year 7

During the audition, children will learn a song and a dance together before performing what they have learned in small groups.

There is no need to prepare anything in advance, and no previous performance experience is necessary.

Children should wear comfortable clothes they can move in—no jeans—and trainers. Please also bring water and a snack.

A parent or guardian will be required to complete a registration form on the day.

Rehearsals and availability

Rehearsals will generally take place on Thursday evenings and Sundays.

Following the Christmas break, rehearsals for the children will resume on 29 December 2026. All children must be available from this date and throughout the production period.
